Jump expands Series A to $25M with addition of Ryan Tedder and other strategic investors.

August 12, 2025

We are excited to share that Grammy-winning musician and entrepreneur Ryan Tedder has joined our Series A, expanding the round to $25M. The round led by Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six now also includes other strategic investors from across the sports industry.

The participation of these additional investors further validates Jump's vision and reflects growing industry recognition of the need for a purpose-built platform for sports teams.

Why Ryan Tedder is backing a platform built for sports

Ryan joined the round because the sports world deserves technology built for how teams actually connect with their fans. As both a muscian and a sports fan, he understands just how different those needs really are from other types of live events like concerts.

“I’ve spent decades in live entertainment, decades as an early stage investor, and I know running a concert business and running a sports team are completely different animals.

In music, we tour and sell tickets to shows around the world, one-night events. Sports is countless touchpoints over months-long seasons, generational fandom, and a wide range of products and experiences. Totally different fan relationships, totally different business needs.

As a lifetime fan of live sports, I saw what Jump is building, it’s like, ‘Finally.’ Someone gets that sports deserve its own thing, technology that actually understands how sports fans think and behave. It’s moving beyond a retrofitted concert platform, and finally maximizing the fan experience top down, treating the fans with the level of care and importance they deserve.”

Ryan echos what we and many in the industry already know. Sports and concerts may share venues, but they are fundamentally different businesses and generic systems do not serve the needs of all live events, especially sports.

Jump is built for sports teams and their fans.

When the Timberwolves launched single-game ticket sales last week, Jump did more than process transactions. It powered a smarter, more direct connection with fans. That foundation drives higher lifetime value and modernizes how teams grow revenue.
