Parking zone

Help us make JUMP a positive part of Berlin by always parking responsibly. This means locking your bike when you're done and never blocking pavements or accessibility ramps.

Always check your app before you park to make sure you are within our service area, and never leave your bike or scooter in red no parking zones. Parking in a no-parking zone or outside the service area will result in a fine of up to €15.

You’ll be able to find and reserve a bike or scooter using the Uber app.

You can ride JUMP bikes and scooters anywhere within the service zone indicated on the map above, which is also available in the app. When you’re finished riding, leave your bike or scooter parked within the same zone. Bikes and scooters parked outside of the service zone are subject to a 15€ additional fee.

Park your bike or scooter out of the way of pedestrians and other vehicles and make sure you follow the detailed parking guidelines below.

JUMP bikes or scooter parked outside of the service area indicated on the map above and in the Uber app will result in a € 15 additional fee. Bikes parked in a No Parking Zone are subject to a € 5 additional fee.

No Parking Zones are generally parks and green areas. These can be seen on the map in the Uber app.

In an effort to comply with local regulations and permit requirements, we want to remind JUMP users in Berlin to respect the following parking guidelines:

  • JUMP bikes and scooters should not be locked at public bicycle parking facilities.
  • JUMP bikes and scooters should not be parked in parks and green areas.
  • JUMP bikes and scooters should not obstruct areas of crossing points (footpath extensions, central islands), access roads to properties for fire brigades, rescue services, police, areas for waste disposal vehicles/road cleaning/winter services.
  • JUMP bikes and scooters should not obstruct access to letterboxes, parking ticket machines, above-ground distribution boxes, bus stops, elevators and driveways.

Jump Bikes

Jump has purchased insurance for damages that you may cause to third parties and their property arising out of an accident whilst using a Jump Bike.

This cover is subject to a limit of liability of €1,000,000 per accident.

The Insurer in relation to Jump Bikes is XL Insurance Company SE, an insurance company domiciled 8 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, in Ireland, registered under number 641686, regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (www.centralbank.ie).

Jump Scooters

Jump has purchased motor liability insurance for damages that you may cause to third parties or their property arising out of an accident whilst using a Jump Scooter. The insurance is provided by Allianz Versicherungs AG, Königinstr. 28, 80802 Munich under the policy number GFL90/R001/0064774/810.

In the event that you have been involved in an accident, you should first ensure your own safety and those around you and then contact the emergency service if needed.

We also ask that you report any accidents to Uber either through the in-app help section. To get help, please select "Help", "Safety and security" and then tap on the article with the title "I was involved in an accident" and enter the details. A member of our support team will call you back as soon as possible. In case you don't have an Uber account, please get in contact through email at support-de@jump.com

If the accident involves any third party injury or damage, we ask that you exchange contact details with the third party and request that they report this to Uber through the following email address (support-de@jump.com) and specify the contact number they wish to be called back on.

What should I do if a third party involved in an accident demands or mentions compensation?

Jump Bikes

If any third party involved in the accident demands or mentions compensation from you, whether in writing or otherwise, you must notify XL Insurance Company SE’s claims representative using the following contact details:

Jump Scooters

If you have had an accident with a Jump Scooter in which another person or property has been injured or damaged, you are obliged to report this as soon as possible to Allianz Versicherungs AG. The contact details are: Allianz Versicherungs AG, E-Mail: jump-schaden@allianz.de, Tel. 0800 1122668. Please be sure to mention that this is an accident with a Jump Scooter.
